Haleigh was a great ball of energy. She was really nice and her enthusiasm was contagious.
Haileigh was absolute best! The food was great...and her service was above and beyond!
Such a great happy hour deals! Came in for their raw oysters (on the happy hour deal) and BBQ oysters (not included on the deal), and both were good! The cocktails and service were great as well. I also ordered the steak frites, which was just okay. A bit overcooked for my liking even though I ordered for medium. The bread pudding, however, it's a must order dessert! Yummmm.... I wish I have one right now!!
Excellent! I came here for lunch before I left for the airport and had the lunch special, which was a cup of gumbo or salad with the entree of the day which was a crispy shrimp po boy. I had the gumbo and it was the best I had on this trip. The po boy was huge and very tasty, with tomatoes and thinly sliced cucumbers, and a delicious aoli sauce. I couldn't eat 1/2 of it, but I boxed it up. Can't let good shrimp go to waste! Service by Corey was excellent too. He was very attentive and made great recommendations. There are so many good choices on the menu that I will definitely come back next time I'm in NOLA!
Back in New Orleans & of course LUKE is on the itinerary. I went for Breakfast this time, specifically for those Potatoes with the thick cut bacon... They don't have them anymore... However, as usual, the food was/is still amazing and the service absolutely Wonderful. Had a small issue, but even that didn't make my experience less meaningful. The Manager was very attentive while rectifying said issue and I'll be returning for Dinner tonight with a friend. Please get you some of this Delicious-ness.
This restaurant was great. Service was great. They have happy hour oysters from 3-6pm. We ordered - 1/2 dozen fried oysters - soo good. House made ranch came with it and it was delish - snapper crudo - loved the tomato and melon on top - shrimp etouffee - bf's dish, he loved it - duck breast - this was soo good. I would order it again. - blueberry upside down cake - this was ok. Bf liked it
What wasn't to like about this spot? Luke has a feeling of an old school fish monger mixed with the fine dining you'd expect. Cocktails were balanced and scrumptious Food was to die for. Service was impeccable. Joe in particular made the night. Happy hour deals are also unbeatable.
Luke was about 10 minutes from the Canal Street Marriott walking, which we achieved and entered the restaurant before the rains came quickly. When we entered we walked into a classy high-ceilinged room with gold ceilings, rich mahogany panels and trim, and hazy circular light covers. The ambiance had a very 30s-style that works very well for when you're going to enjoy seafood, which we did. The one downside to the evening was the slowness in service, mostly from the kitchen, in getting our food over, which I couldn't tell at first if it was just our server or the kitchen. We did receive a drinks in reasonable time, but overall, I felt we waited a bit to give additional orders and receive them. Outside of that, the cocktails were strong but not overly boozy in taste. Cocktails like the CBD and Trigger Warning packed quite a punch to where you knew you could sip them and still have a good buzz as you received your food. The LA Gulf Oysters were fresh and savory, served with a strong horseradish that was certainly stronger than I anticipated. Any congestion that I may have had in my nasal cavity was cleared out immediately... and then some. The crispy brussels sprouts was solid with the Espelette honey and fresh cheese, while I absolutely savored the escargot and bone marrow with the roasted garlic. For the finisher, the jumbo Louisiana Shrimp and Grits were zesty and tantalizing and especially rich, served with roasted jalapeno cheese grits and andouille, green onion sausage that didn't have too much of a bite but plenty of flavor. By the end of our meal, we were more than satisfied and set off back towards the French Quarter, satisified with our orders.
